Classics Illustrated still makes sweet comics, especially when its narratives nab compatible visuals. Rick Geary’s dispassionate pen has blessed the new Papercutz series, a pairing that has been explored before in an interview with Geary on Morphizm.
But now it is Kyle Baker’s turn to take a stone-cold literary classic down the rabbit hole.
As you can tell by the panel above, the Eisner award-winning Baker has kept the whimsy alive and added a dash of velocity. You can preview more cool panels at Papercutz’s preview site, and purchase copies of NBM goods in the Morphizm Store if you’re so inclined.
The classics are timeless, because they’re continually upgraded. Baker’s iteration is another brick in Lewis Carroll’s wall.
