It’s good to keep the tempo up. Crowds need to be motivated, and minds need to be energized, especially on Election Day.
So I figured posting a heads-up on my review of the Kaiser Chiefs latest effort Off With Their Heads might galvanize the electorate on this momentous occasion. Am I wrong? Read up, find out.
Kaiser Chiefs, Off With Their Heads
[Scott Thill, Metromix]
“It’s cool to know nothing,” the band thrashes on the ironic stomper “Never Miss a Beat,” which wants to run away from the world but just can’t. “Spanish Metal” is similarly epic in its bombast, which sets a table that funkified tracks like “You Want History” and “Half the Truth” quickly rearranges. But the tempo is the thing here, and Kaiser Chiefs like it energetic and unrelenting. If you can make it through the album, you should feel confident in your sturdy heart. MORE @ METROMIX
