Bloc Parties With Electronics

You have to wait with buzz bands. You got to see if they can stick around after the hype has worn off. Which is another way of saying I don’t know too much about Bloc Party other than what I have read and heard.

And after a listen to their newest join Intimacy, I can say I like what I hear. Quite a bit, actually.

Born at the turn of the new century, this merry band of Cure revisionists rode a wave of crossover fame on the heels of their well-regarded releases “Silent Alarm” and “A Weekend in the City.” But the stakes have risen and impressing fans and moving units has become more complicated. So this London quartet did what any self-respecting act on the rise would do: throw its songbook into the digital age. MORE @ METROMIX
